On social media platforms, an individual’s narrative is formed through connections with others. 〈SOCIAL NETWORK PEOPLE〉 examines the conditions of those relationships. I placed both the model and myself within the camera’s frame, attempting to establish a provisional balance of shared agency between us. Yet every encounter between subject and other contains misunderstanding and tension, and the relationship remains inevitably asymmetrical. The work reveals the traces produced by an attempt made in full awareness of that failure.
