“Sadongine” is the name of a team I formed with residents of Cheolsan4dong. Facing impending redevelopment, we came together around a shared idea: “Let us identify what is worth preserving and preserve it.” Together, we produced books including 〈THE HOUSES OF CHEOLSAN4DONG〉, which documents the neighborhood’s houses, and 〈THE TREES, FLOWERS, AND VEGETABLE GARDENS OF CHEOLSAN4DONG〉, which records its plants and natural environment.
